About Candlebark Ridge

At Candlebark Ridge, our bespoke tiny home has been thoughtfully designed as a place to slow down and reconnect with nature. Tucked away in the Tasmanian bushland, with sweeping views towards the coast, it’s a warm, soulful space where considered design, natural materials and the beauty of the landscape come together.

Every detail has been chosen with comfort, calm and connection in mind — from the warmth of the wood fire and the morning light across the deck, to the outdoor stone soaking tub and the wildlife that wanders through the surrounding bush. There’s no TV, no Wi-Fi and very little to distract you from the things that matter.

Breathe in some of the world’s cleanest air, listen to the wind through the trees, watch the sun rise over the ocean and settle into the rare luxury of having nowhere else to be. Candlebark Ridge is a place to switch off, slow down and leave feeling a little more like yourself.

Where you’ll rest

The star of the show? A king-sized bed surrounded by huge picture windows with views of bushland, farmland, and the ocean that’ll make you forget your phone exists.

The butterflied roofline provides a sense of grandeur and space - the king bed platform is surrounded by two large picture frame windows which allow guests to gaze endlessly at the ever-changing landscapes throughout their stay.

Cool and Cosy

Warmth? Sorted. There are two forms of heating in the tiny home.

For those who love the ambience of a wood fire, a “Mini Meg” wood fire by the New Zealand-owned company Roaring Meg Fires.

Plus an in-built biodiesel fan heater, which turns on and off at the touch of a button.

In summer, a ceiling fan above the bed keeps things breezy. A ceiling fan over the king bed, multiple opening windows with fly screens, and electric-operated blinds help create airflow and cool the tiny home's internal temperatures during the warmer months.

Handmade Luxe

The bathroom is thoughtfully designed with sustainability in mind.

It boasts a spacious shower, a handcrafted ceramic basin, and a low-maintenance composting toilet that is both waterless and odourless.

We currently use Zero Co products throughout the tiny home, which are chemical free and made using recycled plastic waste from the ocean.

We’ve stocked the pantry with the essentials: Ritual ground coffee, teas, hot choccy, sugar, rice, pasta, granola, olive oil, salt, pepper, and a mix of herbs and spices.

You’ll also have a Moccamaster drip coffee machine, an Arke carbonator, and cocktail making supplies — including dried fruit garnishes for that fancy finishing touch.

There is a generously sized galley kitchen, a large fridge/freezer and a movable island bench which faces east, providing stunning views of the surrounding bushland and ocean from indoors.
