“Easily the best Airbnb we have stayed at!

The hosts have been so clearly attentive to the needs and wants of a guest. Everything was well thought out.

The house was incredible, still not over it. The location and view were insane. Lots of time was spent staring out into the paddocks and ocean. So impressed by the love and care put into the special space and we hope to come back soon.”

“This coastal hideaway was nothing short of superb; meticulously fitted out in a stylish and sustainable manner.

Candlebark Ridge is not just accommodation, it's an experience.

The location is divine; totally private with spectacular views ... think Byron hinterland without the traffic, crowds and influencers. We enjoyed slow mornings lazing back in the sumptuous king bed watching the ever-changing vistas, especially the golden sunrises.

Candlebark Ridge is off-grid luxury. Don't miss it! Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise. We will be back..”

“Wow. Where to start!? This place has to be seen to be believed!

Myself and my partner both agreed it was probably the most beautiful place we’d ever stayed.

Everything about the home was exquisite. The colour scheme, the glassware, the linen, the extra little touches…. I honestly could not think of anything they had forgotten. We experienced sun, wind, rain the lot and were cosy and comfy throughout the whole stay. The views are incredible and we had a little visit from the resident kookaburra.

We loved cooking outside using the pizza oven and the bbq. We want to thank our incredible hosts for a truly memorable stay.”

Have a question?

  • We offer a range of essential pantry items, including Ritual ground coffee, assorted teas, hot chocolate, sugar, rice, pasta, granola, olive oil, salt, pepper, and a selection of herbs and spices.

Additionally, guests have access to a Moccamaster drip coffee machine, an Arke carbonator, and supplies for crafting cocktails, including dried fruit garnishes.

Due to our remote location, we recommend preparing by purchasing supplies before reaching the nearby Hilly's IGA in Saint Marys. They provide a variety of locally sourced cheeses, cured meats, fresh fruits, vegetables, and gourmet ready-to-cook pizzas and bases.

Additionally, the township features a fantastic local pub offering hearty meals every day of the week, along with various cafes and bakeries.

  • Due to the steep gradient of our driveway, access to the car park is via All-Wheel Drive (AWD) vehicles only.

Guests arriving in Two-Wheel Drive (2WD) vehicles will need to park at the top of the driveway before the gates and take the rest of the journey on foot (around 50 metres to the flat carpark area) with their belongings.

  • The idea of our escape is to switch off and enjoy the peace and quiet, without relying heavily on technology.

There is a reasonable service available for those with Telstra and Optus who wish to use cellular data to watch shows or movies on their handheld devices or laptops.

  • Please note that our accommodation is designed for adults only.

Reservations for individuals under 18 must be arranged in advance upon request.

Due to the steep and uneven nature of the land and the fact that our property is unfenced, we usually don’t accept bookings which include infants, children or pets.
